There are clinical rotations in FPMRS, Urology, Colorectal/Gastroenterology, and Geriatrics. Fellows work with a large and diverse patient population, which allows for training in vaginal, abdominal, minimally invasive and robotic surgery. Each fellowship includes 12 month of research, fellows are mentored in research methodology and scientific investigation and regularly present original research at national meetings. In addition, we have a strong collaboration with the Wake Forest Institute for Regenerative Medicine (WFIRM), which is a state-of-the-art facility. The program currently has three funded grants from NIH in FPM&RS.
